Hi. I’m a captain. I have an admittedly biased opinion.
I’ll try to refrain from a rant.
I won’t address your points because that’ll take to long. In short, Frankie needs someone he doesn’t have to take care of. Naomi with Scott shows, once you get past her walls she’s very caring and put together and loving. She has a Mama!Naomi mode where she can take care of herself and even want to help other people. Frankie needs that because he has the apparent Mealy gene to want to help and fix everyone even before himself. And that’s not a bad thing really, but in a relationship, you can’t just keep giving your all. Naomi would be able to give back too. Because she’s strong enough for that. That’s why I like it. Because Quinn is in my head and she wants Frankie to be pampered for once. To have someone to have fun with easy with no drama or having to take care of someone.
Onto Naomi. Dude. They’re not jumping on the ship in like five seconds. Calm yo’ tits. Naomi hooked up with him and he ran shortly after, excuse her for not wanting to jump into his arms and be saved. She has a history and she’s being caution. elohelifanythingthat’sjustreallygoodcharacters.
I’m not touching the Franlynn/Fralynn thing.

I love my captain. My bb is DEFINITELY not rushing into things. She doesn’t like rushing things. In my head, she’s laid back and just likes taking time out and laying in fields and grass all day just to think and do nothing. If anything, she’s going to take her time.
But she does like him. So there. She’s not going to say that if they do get together they’ll be together forever. On the contrary- she doesn’t expect that. But she’s willing to try it out when the time comes. But she’s taking her time with it.

lolno. Have you not been paying attention to the fact that Frankie wasn’t going to develop feelings for anybody for a long while after Fralynn sunk? Because the boy wanted to protect himself from hurt. This was a sneak attack. You really think that his thought process was “oh, here’s this attractive woman my age. Let’s develop a crush.”? Obviously you’re not seeing the Frankie I am, because he’d never do that. As for his true feelings towards her, he honestly likes Naomi for her. He’s seen the soft, squishy Naomi underneath the rough exterior, and that draws him to her. He likes the way she lights up when she talks about animals. She’s really witty too, which is always something he likes. He loves spending time with her, because she brings out this untapped ability to simply forget about the world and relax for a while.

Okay, wow. I thought about not touching this, but I can’t not do it. Knowing Veronica as well as I do, I know I can speak for her on this. Forcing our babies into anything is the very last thing we would ever do. No way. No how. I tried to entertain the thought of forcing him into Lankie, but it wasn’t happening. I can’t force my baby into anything. We might give him a little nudge here and there, but never full out force him into anything. Especially not a ship. Quinn isn’t forcing him into anything either. All she’s doing is giving him a helpful nudge in what he all know is a good direction for him to go. If I can’t force my baby into anything, there’s no way in hell I’m going to let someone else force him into anything.

Yes, because all ships sail so smoothingly unawkward. Not. With the experiences both Frankie and Naomi have gone through, it’s going to be awkward. They’re trying to find their sea legs. Shortman had to find its sea legs. Nankie’s doing the same thing.
Okay, I think I’m done now. That came out longer than expected. I’m not bashing you, confessor, but I’m trying to help you see where we’re coming from with this. I promise.
